Advanced Concert Band
The Advanced Concert Band is the chance for students to experience a concert band with a lot of help from their new friends. An advanced concert band with the goal of finding challenging music for all of its members. The band plays a variety of music from marches to sound tracks to popular movies and musicals. This class is offered to high school students and advanced middle school students. This group will perform in the concert during the final week of the workshop.
This course is appropriate for the following types of students:
- Intermediate to Advanced Flute, Oboe, and Clarinet players
- Intermediate to Advanced Alto, Tenor and Bari Saxophone Players
- Intermediate to Advanced Trumpet and French Horn Players
- Intermediate to Advanced Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba Players
- Intermediate to Advanced Drummers/Percussionists
- Students interested in More Independence in Their Band Parts
- Students who Appreciate a Wide Variety of Musical Styles
- Students who are not Afraid of a Good Ol' Challenge
Enrollment is Unlimited but at least Two Years of Experience on the
Student's primary Musical Instrument is Recommended.
Recommended for Grades 8-12
