Thank you for your interest in being a member of the Sparta Summer Arts Workshop team. The position of Teaching Assistant is a competitive one; oftentimes the number of applicants more than doubles the available opportunities and we unfortunately cannot hire every applicant.
Our teaching assistants are a vital part of the teaching process; the tasks range from mundane tasks such as sorting music, cleaning up after and art project, room set-up to full classroom instruction. If chosen, you will be assigned to one or more of our staff members to assist them in myriad ways. In addition to the invaluable assistance you will provide our staff members, the teaching assistants provide an irreplaceable role model for the workshop students. Our expectations from you are a positive attitude, a professional demeanor and a willingness to assist every one of our students.
